Außerordentlicher Erfolg der Spring Stage 2025 des Operastudios der Merano Academy in Amatrice
Mit viel Emotion und tiefer Dankbarkeit ging die Spring Stage 2025 des Operastudios der Merano Academy zu Ende, die in diesem Jahr an einem besonders bedeutungsvollen Ort stattfand: Amatrice, eine Stadt, die für ihre Resilienz und den Wiederaufbau nach dem verheerenden Erdbeben von 2016 steht.
Eine Entscheidung, die sowohl mutig als auch von großer symbolischer Bedeutung war. Professor Richard Sigmund, der bereits 2017 eine wichtige Solidaritätsinitiative zugunsten der Bevölkerung von Amatrice ins Leben rief, setzte sich nachdrücklich dafür ein, dass diese Frühjahrs-Ausgabe ein sichtbares Zeichen der Freundschaft, Solidarität und Hoffnung wird. Und so war es: Zwei denkwürdige Konzerte, die beide von einem begeisterten und engagierten Publikum aufgenommen wurden, brachten Licht, Schönheit und Emotionen in ein Gebiet, das gezeichnet, aber nicht gebrochen ist.
Am 2. Mai endete die Masterclass für Solisten mit einem Gala-Konzert von höchstem Niveau: Auf dem Programm standen Opernarien, Operetten und Musicals, die von jungen Talenten aus aller Welt interpretiert wurden. Die belgische Sopranistin Loes Cools und der US-amerikanische Bariton John Sweeney begeisterten das Publikum mit ihrer makellosen technischen Beherrschung und ihrer intensiven Interpretation, die ihnen den Rang internationaler Künstler verlieh.
Neben ihnen traten auch die deutsche Sopranistin Hannah Berger, die polnische Mezzosopranistin Barbara Kaczyńska, mit ihrem warmen und einhüllenden Timbre, und die brillante chinesische Sopranistin Xin Wang hervor. Ein Konzert, das die Seele berührte und einen bleibenden Eindruck im Herzen des Publikums hinterließ.
Am 3. Mai fand im benachbarten Accumoli das zweite Event statt: Ein Chorkonzert, das die örtlichen Chöre von Amatrice und Accumoli zusammenbrachte, die von Cinzia Vivarelli vorbereitet wurden, sowie einige Mitglieder des Vokalensembles Amaté aus Merano. Ein Abend von seltener emotionaler Intensität, an dem die Musik authentisch den Geist der Gemeinschaft, der Freundschaft und der gemeinsamen Freude verkörperte.
Die Chöre boten eine sorgfältige und gefühlvolle Darbietung, mit harmonischem und lebendigem Gesang, und zeigten, wie die Kunst eine Brücke zwischen den Menschen schlagen kann, eine universelle Sprache, die auch das ausdrücken kann, was Worte nicht zu fassen vermögen.
Ein aufrichtiger Dank geht an alle Teilnehmer, Organisatoren und Unterstützer. Diese beiden Veranstaltungen waren nicht einfach Konzerte, sondern außergewöhnliche Erlebnisse der Teilhabe, des Wiederaufbaus und der Schönheit, die starke Emotionen und unvergessliche Erinnerungen hinterlassen haben. Es bleibt die Hoffnung, dass dies nur der Anfang vieler zukünftiger Initiativen in diese Richtung war.

Straordinario Successo della Spring Stage 2025 dell’Operastudio della Merano Academy ad Amatrice
Con emozione e profonda gratitudine si è conclusa la Spring Stage 2025 dell’Operastudio della Merano Academy, tenutasi quest’anno in un luogo di particolare significato: Amatrice, città simbolo della resilienza e della rinascita dopo il devastante terremoto del 2016.
Una decisione tanto coraggiosa quanto carica di valore simbolico. Il professor Richard Sigmund, già promotore nel 2017 di un’importante iniziativa solidale a favore della popolazione di Amatrice, ha voluto con forza che questa edizione primaverile diventasse un segno tangibile di amicizia, solidarietà e speranza. E così è stato: due concerti memorabili, entrambi accolti da un pubblico entusiasta e partecipe, hanno portato luce, bellezza e commozione in un territorio segnato ma non piegato.
Il 2 maggio, la Masterclass per solisti si è conclusa con un Gala concertistico di altissimo livello: in programma, arie d’opera, operetta e musical, interpretate da giovani talenti provenienti da tutto il mondo. La soprano belga Loes Cools e il baritono statunitense John Sweeney hanno conquistato la platea con una padronanza tecnica impeccabile e un’intensità interpretativa da veri artisti internazionali.
Accanto a loro, si sono distinte anche la soprano tedesca Hannah Berger, la mezzosoprano polacca Barbara Kaczyńska, dal timbro caldo e avvolgente, e la brillante soprano cinese Xin Wang. Un concerto che ha toccato le corde dell’anima, lasciando un segno profondo nel cuore del pubblico.
Il 3 maggio, nel vicino comune di Accumoli, si è celebrato il secondo evento: un concerto corale che ha riunito i cori locali di Amatrice e Accumoli, preparati da Cinzia Vivarelli, con alcuni membri dell’ensemble vocale Amaté di Merano. Una serata di rara intensità emotiva, in cui la musica ha incarnato in modo autentico lo spirito di comunità, amicizia e gioia condivisa.
I cori hanno offerto una performance curata e sentita, con un canto armonioso e vibrante, dimostrando quanto l’arte possa diventare ponte tra le persone, linguaggio universale capace di dare voce anche a ciò che le parole non riescono ad esprimere.
A tutti i partecipanti, organizzatori e sostenitori va un sincero ringraziamento. Questi due eventi non sono stati semplici concerti, ma esperienze straordinarie di condivisione, rinascita e bellezza, che hanno lasciato emozioni forti e ricordi indelebili. Rimane la speranza che questa sia solo la prima di molte iniziative future in questa direzione.

With emotion and deep gratitude, the Spring Stage 2025 of the Operastudio of the Merano Academy came to a close, held this year in a place of particular significance: Amatrice, a city symbolizing resilience and rebirth after the devastating 2016 earthquake.
A decision that was both courageous and rich in symbolic value. Professor Richard Sigmund, who had previously launched an important solidarity initiative for the people of Amatrice in 2017, strongly insisted that this spring edition become a tangible symbol of friendship, solidarity, and hope. And so it was: two memorable concerts, both welcomed by an enthusiastic and engaged audience, brought light, beauty, and emotion to a land marked but not broken.
On May 2, the Masterclass for soloists concluded with a high-level Gala concert: the program included opera arias, operettas, and musicals, interpreted by young talents from around the world. Belgian soprano Loes Cools and American baritone John Sweeney captivated the audience with impeccable technical mastery and interpretive intensity worthy of international artists.
Alongside them, German soprano Hannah Berger, Polish mezzo-soprano Barbara Kaczyńska, with her warm and enveloping timbre, and brilliant Chinese soprano Xin Wang also stood out. It was a concert that touched the soul, leaving a profound mark in the hearts of the audience.
On May 3, in the nearby town of Accumoli, the second event was celebrated: a choral concert that brought together the local choirs of Amatrice and Accumoli, prepared by Cinzia Vivarelli, with some members of the Amaté vocal ensemble from Merano. A night of rare emotional intensity, where music authentically embodied the spirit of community, friendship, and shared joy.
The choirs delivered a well-crafted and heartfelt performance, with harmonious and vibrant singing, demonstrating how art can become a bridge between people, a universal language capable of expressing what words cannot.
A sincere thank you to all the participants, organizers, and supporters. These two events were not just concerts, but extraordinary experiences of sharing, rebirth, and beauty, leaving strong emotions and unforgettable memories. It remains hoped that this will be just the first of many future initiatives in this direction.
