„Oratorium für den Frieden“ von Richard J. Sigmund (Op. 88)
Südtiroler URAUFFÜHRUNG in der Pfarrkirche von Algund 

Das „Kimratshofener Oratorium für den Frieden“ des Algunder Komponisten Richard J. Sigmund (Op. 88) wird am Samstag, 22. März um 20:30 Uhr in der Pfarrkirche von Algund erstmals in Südtirol erklingen. Unter der Gesamtleitung des Komponisten wird ein Ensemble aus Sprecher, zehn Solisten, dem Männerchor Kimratshofen, den Ultner Bänkelsängern sowie dem Orchester und Vokalensemble Amaté aus Meran, insgesamt mit rund 100 Mitwirkenden, dieses großartige Werk darbieten. 

Bereits am 26. Oktober des vergangenen Jahres wurde das Werk in Kimratshofen (Bayern) aufgeführt und erntete große Begeisterung bei Mitwirkenden und Publikum. 

Richard J. Sigmund schreibt im Vorwort zur Partitur: 

„Wir möchten mit einem gemeinsamen Konzert eine langjährige, ebenso künstlerische wie brüderliche Freundschaft zwischen Sängern aus Kimratshofen und aus Meran feiern. Dies geschieht in dunklen Zeiten, voller Verwerfungen und Abgründe. … Im Schockbeben der Katastrophe, mit unzähligen Schlachten, tausenden Toten und unermesslichem Leid durch Vertreibung, Hunger und Not, sowie den Bildern zerstörter Kathedralen und Häuser, trieb es mich an, dieses Oratorium zu schreiben. Alles, was mir die Ohnmacht bietet, ist zu mahnen, zu schreiben und zu warnen. Was bleibt, ist die Hoffnung auf Frieden.“ 

Als Solisten treten Teilnehmer der Merano Academy - Operastudio 2025 auf:
Loes Cools (BE), Barbara Kaczińska (PL), Elisabeth Zeiler (AT), John Sweeney (USA), Maria Theresia Platter (Südtirol), Haneol Kim (KOR), Miriam Bitschnau (AT), Ha Min Park (KOR),  Xenia Galanova (RUS) und Jieun Lee (KOR - Piano) auf.

Das Publikum kann sich auf ein besonderes Musikerlebnis mit tiefgehendem Inhalt und musikalischer Intensität freuen. Der Komponist vereint in seinem Werk grundlegende Text- und Bedeutungsebenen aus liturgischer sowie musikalisch-lyrischer Perspektive und gibt musikalisch Ausdruck, was ihn in diesen bewegten Zeiten umtreibt. Aus der gelebten Sehnsucht nach Frieden wird das Werk zur mahnenden Stimme des Gewissens gegen den Krieg.

Prima assoluta in Alto Adige nella chiesa parrocchiale di Lagundo

Il "Kimratshofener Oratorium per la Pace" del compositore algundese Richard J. Sigmund (Op. 88) risuonerà per la prima volta in Alto Adige sabato 22 marzo alle ore 20:30 nella chiesa parrocchiale di Lagundo. Sotto la direzione complessiva del compositore, un ensemble composto da un narratore, dieci solisti, il coro maschile di Kimratshofen, i cantanti di ballate dell’Ultimo, l'orchestra e il coro Amaté di Merano, per un totale di circa 100 partecipanti, presenterà questa grande opera.

Già il 27 ottobre dell’anno scorso, l’opera è stata eseguita a Kimratshofen (Baviera), dove ha suscitato grande entusiasmo tra i partecipanti e il pubblico. Richard J. Sigmund scrive nella prefazione alla partitura:

"Con questo concerto comune, desideriamo celebrare una lunga e fraterna amicizia artistica tra i cantanti di Kimratshofen e di Merano. Ciò avviene in tempi oscuri, pieni di turbamenti e abissi. … Nel terremoto della catastrofe, con innumerevoli battaglie, migliaia di morti e indicibile sofferenza causata da deportazioni, fame e miseria, così come le immagini di cattedrali e case distrutte, mi sono sentito spinto a scrivere questo oratorio. Tutto ciò che mi offre impotenza è l’ammonizione, la scrittura e l’avvertimento. Ciò che rimane è la speranza nella pace."

Come solisti si esibiranno i partecipanti della Merano Academy - Operastudio 2025:
Loes Cools (BE), Barbara Kaczińska (PL), Elisabeth Zeiler (AT), John Sweeney (USA), Maria Theresia Platter (Alto Adige), Haneol Kim (KOR), Miriam Bitschnau (AT), Ha Min Park (KOR), Xenia Galanova (RUS) e Jieun Lee (KOR - pianoforte).

Il pubblico potrà godere di un'esperienza musicale particolare, con contenuti profondi e intensità musicale. Il compositore unisce nella sua opera livelli fondamentali di testo e significato sia dal punto di vista liturgico che musicale e lirico, esprimendo musicalmente ciò che lo turba in questi tempi movimentati. Dalla profonda speranza di pace, l’opera diventa la voce ammonitrice della coscienza contro la guerra.

Sabato 22 marzo 2025 alle ore 20:30 nella chiesa parrocchiale di Lagundo. L'ingresso al concerto è gratuito. L'Associazione Culturale Amaté, come organizzatrice, si rallegra per eventuali donazioni volontarie.

South Tyrolean PREMIERE in the parish church of Algund

The "Kimratshofener Oratorio for Peace" by the Algund composer Richard J. Sigmund (Op. 88) will be performed for the first time in South Tyrol on Saturday, March 22, at 8:30 PM in the parish church of Algund. Under the overall direction of the composer, an ensemble consisting of a speaker, ten soloists, the Kimratshofen male choir, the Ultner ballad singers, as well as the orchestra and vocal ensemble Amaté from Merano, with a total of around 100 participants, will present this magnificent work.

The piece was already performed on October 27 of the previous year in Kimratshofen (Bavaria), where it received great enthusiasm from the performers and the audience. Richard J. Sigmund writes in the preface to the score:

"We wish to celebrate a long-standing, both artistic and fraternal, friendship between singers from Kimratshofen and Merano with a joint concert. This takes place in dark times, full of upheaval and abysses. … In the shockwave of the catastrophe, with countless battles, thousands of deaths, and immeasurable suffering from deportation, hunger, and poverty, as well as the images of destroyed cathedrals and houses, I felt compelled to write this oratorio. All that my helple
ssness offers me is to warn, to write, and to caution. What remains is the hope for peace."

The audience can look forward to a special musical experience with profound content and musical intensity. The composer combines in his work essential text and meaning levels from both liturgical and musical-lyrical perspectives and expresses musically what moves him in these turbulent times. From the lived longing for peace, the work becomes a warning voice of conscience against war.
